Free Travel Smart Seminar

You hear about it every night, read about it in the newspaper every day-another murder, another rape, another home invasion or carjacking-random acts of violence. It probably wont happen to you or your family, wherever you may be-right? That is exactly what most victims thought before it happened to them and it is indicative of the common level of complacency and lack of awareness into which we sometimes slip. While you are traveling in your motor home or RV, dont let it happen to you! Take a proactive stance against crime whether you are traveling for business or pleasure. Arrange a Travel Smart Seminar for the members of your RV club, RV park, or for your upcoming RV rally or samboree today!

National Crime Prevention Task Force Travel Smart Seminar is a FREE, 50-minute seminar, designed to educate the individuals in your RV club, RV park, or the attendees of your RV rally or samboree in areas relating to crime prevention and personal safety and awareness while traveling on the road or staying in unfamiliar places. During this information-packed, dynamic program, our instructor will do the following:

  • Educate you and your group on the most recent crimes, cons, scams and methods of victimization used by todays criminal on the traveling public, by delving into the criminals thought process and informing you as to how and why the criminal selects his or her targets, teaching you the signs and situations to look out for during your daily travels.

  • Raise your awareness level by discussing some of the common mistakes that we tend to make while traveling that make us desirable targets to the criminal.

  • Teach you preventative methods and techniques related to personal safety and awareness to implement in your everyday life, while traveling on the highways or in unfamiliar areas in order to make yourself a less attractive target to a criminal predator.

  • Instruct you on some simple things that you can do to and around your motor home or RV relating to existing locks, lights, and security systems as preventative measures against crimes such as burglaries or RV/motor home invasions.

  • Talk travel safety specifics like crimes that occur on the highways and particularly to motor home owners and RVers, what you should do if you ever find yourself alone and broken down on the side of the road, security and emergency parking, overnight parking, awareness of street gangs and the potential for carjacking or motor home hijacking. Tips on hotel/motel safety also included.

  • Discuss reactive measures to take if you should ever find yourself in a harmful situation such as a physical assault including a mugging, purse snatching, rape, carjacking or motor home hijacking, motor home invasion, or road rage.

  • Provide tips relating to security systems, towing your vehicle, dumping, and other motor home and RV-specific topics.

  • Demonstrate and talk about some of the benefits and drawbacks of some of the most popular personal safety devices available on the market, including The Club, locks, personal attack alarms, firearms (unloaded and disarmed), stun guns, Mace and pepper sprays, so that if you are considering purchasing something for your personal or motor home protection, you are armed with enough information to make a decision that fits your lifestyle.
